rendered very lightly and facing us directly

but it could definitely be cleaned more carefully

Seems pretty 1960s to me

Delicate Pencil Drawing of Flowering Branches with Thorns (Hawthorn?) boxing figures The "logs" are made ofI believe it may be a few branches from a hawthorn tree that are the subject of this lovely old botanical drawing, the delicate white flowers of which are counterpointed by their thorny stalks. A finely done, elegant drawing in any event, which for me at least carries a bit of a larger life metaphor: watch out! 10" x 7", with a bit of unevenness to the right edge and a bit of smudging staining, mostly around the edges. Drawing is still crisp and clear
